We are a long way from achieving clinical equity. In the new NEJM Group eBook, Racial Disparities in Clinical Medicine, we set out to provide a sense of how inequity persists, how it is experienced, and how we might begin to counter it.

To explore what individual clinicians can do while politicians and policy makers address the social structures that contribute to the problem, we convened a small panel of clinicians with a commitment to making change happen.
